Many thanks for the links and input. This will bring me up to speed. I do remember vaguely discussion and the competition back in 2005 when I was much more of a heavy user than lately.

It's great hearing that work is on-going and the new site will go live soon!

@darth@silversword.online The only preference I have is tokens/s and it must be on FreeBSD. 🙂

It's purely private. In no way are these designs meant to replace anything and they're not affiliated with the project. More or less it's just a subjective idea that might start a discussion on how the project can optimise its appearance.

@darth@silversword.online My main workstation OS is MacOS. I don't see any other OS substituting my Logic Pro X setup.
My main server OS is FreeBSD. Down the road, I plan to pick up a dedicated laptop specifically for running local LLMs.

To some the current shiny aqua-like orb logo may seem a little dated. I know it does for me. And it's probably a little hard to print and reproduce. We often see a newer logo, which I personally think is a huge improvement. Anyhow, I played around with the design this morning and wanted to share a refined version. Tell me what you think.

  • Quick intro
    daemonhunterD daemonhunter

    Hi!

I hope you are all doing well.

This is just a quick introduction! I'm a Senior Cloud Consultant for a multinational corporation. First UNIX systems for me were SunOS, IRIX and AIX back in the day. I moved over to Linux very shortly in the late-90s and then OpenBSD. Around 2001 I moved over to FreeBSD and stayed. I use FreeBSD on all my servers and I used FreeBSD as a primary desktop at work from 2009 to 2013.

I'm getting back into FreeBSD after a bit of a hiatus, let's see where it takes me.

    Kind regards....
