Thin LVM with shared block storage in #Proxmox? YES!At our #Proxday, several people came in touch w/ me & said that LVM thin-provisioned with iSCSI, FC or NVMeoF would be a dream. Let me make it become real!PS: My mate @formorer@rollenspiel.social is also working on something huge! Guess, we should make a special event about storage plugins for Proxmox VE - maybe within the next virtualization gathering at @credativde@mastodon.social or maybe as a special edition. Let's see, stay tuned!More about it: https://gyptazy.com/blog/proxmox-shared-block-storage-with-lvm-thin-provisioning-provider/Demo: https://youtu.be/pQHazr50PVg#PVE #opensource #storage #proxday

Just added direct file level restore INTO the guest VM object in #PegaProx for #Proxmox VE based systems.Directly restore files from backup to VMs in #Proxmox with #PegaProx! No more awkward workflow where you first have to download the file to your local machine and then upload it back into the VM.Requirements:The initial implementation has a few requirements and limitations:Backups must be stored on a Proxmox Backup Server. Local backups are currently not supported. The VM must have the QEMU Guest Agent installed and enabled. The VM must be running while the restore operation is performed. This feature probably takes place in version 1.4.0 which might make it right to the #Proxday. You can also meet Nico and me there!#pve #opensource #homelab #enterprise #foss #community
