There is an alternative to niri called scroll (https://github.com/dawsers/scroll) which is a fork of sway. Sway is in the OpenBSD repos so it stands to reason that scroll should work on OpenBSD. How do I request that this package be added? I am not familiar with the packaging procedures of any of the BSD's.

This is best left to those who live and breathe BSD rather than a dabbler like me. I wouldn't trust anything I ported. I was asking where I could request that someone qualified port it.

The problem is this, and this will always be the answer a member gives you: if the port doesn't exist, create it; otherwise, do without it until someone else does it someday—if ever.

That sets the tone; if that's okay with you, great…
