26/09/11 ⇒ Long time no text! jstats updates, MariAdmin and OpenBSD on OVHcloud Özgür Konstantin Kazanççı shares the latest improvements to jstats, his FreeBSD jail resource monitor, and introduces MariAdmin, a simple terminal menu for managing MariaDB/MySQL databases and users. He also presents openbsd-setup-ovh, a script that prepares a Debian or Ubuntu VPS to boot the OpenBSD installer through GRUB, with BIOS and UEFI support. The article includes console examples and his experience running OpenBSD on an OVHcloud VPS-4 from the 2027 range, with both IPv4 and IPv6 working successfully. https://ozgurkazancci.com/long-time-no-text-jstats-updates-mariadmin-and-openbsd-on-ovhcloud/ https://github.com/ozgurkazancci/jstats https://github.com/ozgurkazancci/MariAdmin https://github.com/ozgurkazancci/openbsd-setup-ovh

Tribblix and OmniTribblix m41 released http://tribblix.org/download.html This doesn't have any significant breaking changes on the application side, just a lot of normal version updates, but does pick up the handful of illumos CVEs we've had recently.

I started out on XFree86, now on X11. I'm wondering if there is a reason I would want to try Wayland. Or do I even want to spend the time to investigate. Good to see this about my distro. They may switch over to Wayland before I'm gone. The other switch years ago worked out okay.

https://cylog.ai/ These are games I originally wrote from the DOS/Turbo Pascal era through the Win32/Delphi era — running on everything from DOS prompts to Windows NT, 95, XP, 2000, you name it. Chunky dialogs, raw GDI graphics, text-mode screens, and all the charm of a beige tower PC. Now, powered by Gemini CLI and Claude Code, each title has been faithfully re-engineered to run natively in your browser. No plugins. No emulation. Just the games, reborn. … I'm not a game-player. This is serendipity. https://bsd.network/@dvl/117172923405570692 led me to: UTF-8 to HTML Converter - atopon.org – thanks to @dvl@bsd.network. Seeing "atopon", I assumed Aaron Toponce. I was wrong, of course! atopon.org is a division of CyLog Software: … a software house specializing in Win32 utilities and games. Our programs are free for non-commercial use. We believe that people should be able to try and use computer software freely. This is how ideas become popular and better computer software is built.
