BSD Cafe login via a star (favourite) icon

I click the star to favourite the post, I'm invited to sign in, I type my Google email address, then click Go. Result:

404. That’s an error.
The requested URL /authorize_interaction?uri=https%3A%2F%2Fmastodon.bsd.cafe%2Fusers%2Fstefano%2Fstatuses%2F116335936780760250 was not found on this server. That’s all we know.`
Can anyone else confirm this? If so, I might report an issue at https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/ (I can't find a matching report there).
Workaround
Ignore the star, click the Sign In button in the sidebar to the right.

The problem here was auto-fill.
The normal hint is automatically hidden by my real email address (pixelated in the screenshot below):
Keyword in the screenshot above: whatever.
My email address is used for the Mastodon instance, but does not identify the instance. Whatever.
After clearing the auto-fill, the hint is visible:
Eg username@mastodon.social
The opening post is solved (tagged), I have flagged it for a move to the test area. Apologies for the noise.
