Jumping in here to add one small detail that seems important to me: The majority of people speaking and writing English today are not native speakers.

Also, there is not one type of English language that is the one correct best one. You can find millions of native speakers around the world disagreeing heavily on spelling, grammar and vocabulary. Plus millions more using English as a second, third, fourth language in professional multi-lingual contexts that have created even more divergent variants of the language.

Therefore there is no need to adjust our words and sentences to some imaginary average ideal. We can understand each other just fine.

I don't believe that readers would want to read a naked transcript, no matter that it is cleaned up from grammar mistakes. I believe that written word must have its own distinction from video material.

And now that I typed this sentence - I now understand my fault by handing over my transcript to a robot. I will do better from now on. Not because you said so, but because I now see that I can do better than Claude.
